2022 SHOW GUIDE AND FLOOR PLAN

The Central Oregon Sportsmen’s Show presented by Leupold returns to the First Interstate Bank Center and Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center in Redmond, March 10th – 13th, 2022.

The 2022 show promises to be the biggest and best ever with more than 300 fishing, hunting and outdoor recreation-related companies showing and selling newly released products and services. All features and seminars at the Central Oregon Sportsmen’s Show are free with admission into the show.

2022 SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

Hunter and public lands advocate, Randy Newberg, is back. He’ll be hosting daily Q&A’s and sharing his insights on everything from elk and big game hunting to public lands policy and opportunities. Randy’s engaging, fun and he’s as nice a guy in person as he is on TV, YouTube, radio or his podcasts. Attendees will really enjoy him. He’ll be spending time at the show talking to people one-on-one when he’s not in his Q&A sessions.

Some of the country’s best competitive grillers and BBQing pros will be conducting daily outdoor cooking demonstrations in the cooking area. They’ll be covering everything from BBQing, grilling, smoking and preserving to Dutch oven, outdoor and rotisserie cooking. The full line-up of topics and cooks is listed here.

Both Born and Raised Outdoors and Addicted Fishing will be hosting workshops at the show. Both have developed an enormous online presence with hundreds of thousands of hunters and anglers in their communities. Both events are free with admission into the show.

Born and Raised Outdoors will be part of Elk Day on Friday (3/11) with their event scheduled from 5PM to 7PM. They’ll be doing an elk calling, elk hunting Q&A along with some video and stories to share that should make for a fun evening. These guys love to call elk, they’re good at it and their passion for all aspects of hunting is evident from the time they start their presentation.

Addicted Fishing is hosting their “1st Annual Central Oregon Sportsmen’s Show Fishing ADX Bash” on Saturday (3/12). They’ll be talking salmon, trout steelhead, along with raffles and giveaways. The whole Addicted Crew is expected and it will be fun! It’s Addicted Fishing’s first time in Central Oregon and the show is looking forward to a warm welcome and good-sized crowd for this event.

Seating is limited for these events so get there early.

Duck Decoy Painting makes its triumphant return to the Central Oregon Sportsmen’s Show after nearly a decade. It’s free to kids 10 and under and supplies are limited but should last through the weekend. Kids are given everything they need to paint a masterpiece. A duck decoy blank, an assortment of paints, brushes, even a smock to keep their clothes clean are all provided free of charge.

Whether it’s from a recent hunt or has been collecting dust in the attic, bring it in, get a measurement and, if you want, enter it in the competition. It’s $10 to get your head, horns, antlers or turkey beard measured by one of our certified measurers. And for an additional $30 you can enter into the competition. With more than 10,000 entries logged since the mid-90’s, the Sportsmen’s Show Head and Horns Competition has produced several new records. Will 2022 be one of those years? The competition has dozens of different categories that include whitetail deer, blacktail deer, mountain goat, Roosevelt elk, Rocky Mountain elk, moose, big horn sheep, cougar, turkey and black bear, along with a number of sub-categories within these species. This competition is made possible and sponsored by hunting luminaries: Leupold, Gerber, Danner, Fort Knox, RMEF, Ruger, Muzzy, Block Targets, LaCrosse, Rage and Muzzy.

Ammunition has been in short supply the past several years. Not this year. Bi-Mart has stepped up with a huge ammo sale for the show. The Central Oregon Sportsmen’s Show will have the largest supply of ammo in the state in a variety of popular calibers. Stock up!

Presenting sponsor, Leupold, is always a huge hit at the show with its factory display in the middle of the show floor at the Interstate Bank Center. Staffed with optics experts and hundreds of scopes, binoculars and range-finders you’ll likely find what you’re looking for in these Made-In-Oregon optics. This is the place to find those Leupold products that have been in short supply along with Leupold branded “merch” like hats, hoodies and t-shirts.

The Wall of Kings is back and it’s as impressive as ever. This display of world-class deer mounts is unlike any other in the west. All of the animals in this collection were taken in the northwest and are truly jaw-dropping in their magnitude.

The Central Oregon Sportsmen’s Show RV Sale combines several local dealers on the grounds with acres of RV’s for sale. It’s the largest display of RV’s east of the Cascades. The popularity of RV’s and the RV lifestyle has soared the past four years with record sales and more people hitting the open road than ever before. This surge in demand has challenged dealer inventories which are now just getting refreshed with new, available units…and you’ll find them at the Central Oregon Sportsmen’s Show.

2021 SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

The Central Oregon Northwest Sportsmen’s Show presented by Leupold returns to the First Interstate Bank Center and Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center, March 11th-14th, 2021.

The 2021 show promises to be the biggest and best ever with more than 300 fishing, hunting and outdoor recreation-related companies showing and selling newly released products and services. All features and seminars at the Central Oregon Northwest Sportsmen’s Show are free with admission into the show.

Randy Newberg. Celebrated hunter and public lands and public access advocate, Randy Newberg is joining us this year. We’re thrilled! He’ll be at the show and delivering a daily Q&A session on hunting elk on public lands. This is a special opportunity for local hunters to connect with one of the world’s best. Randy’s skilled, accessible, easy-to-talk-to and helpful.

Outdoor Cooking Competition! The first-ever Central Oregon Sportsmen’s Show Outdoor Cooking Competition is set for this year’s show.  Top outdoor cooks from across U.S. will be competing in this competition for important points needed to qualify for national and international championships. It’s one day, all-day Sunday with a focus on Dutch Oven cooking. Bread, main course and dessert are the three challenges of this competition. This is a first-ever event and an opportunity to get started with Dutch ovens or hone your already prodigious skills with advice from the best! A Sportsmen’s show never smelled so good!

Head & Horns above the rest.  Want to be impressed? Even if you don’t hunt you have to check these bodacious trophies out, they’re well worth seeing.  If you do hunt you’ll be blown away by the size of some of the mounts.  And if you have a set of horns, antlers or a head that you’d like measured and scored this is the place to bring it.  We have folks certified to measure and score your trophy and if it’s a winner the prizes are incredible! As if bagging a record animal wasn’t reward enough… Special thanks to Fort Knox, RMEF, Gerber, Danner, Leupold, Rage, Muzzy and Ruger, as the presenting sponsors of this popular show feature.

Kid’s day! Saturday is “Kid’s Day” with a couple kid-friendly features this year.  Stop-by the cooking area anytime during the day to make “Campfire chocolate bananas”…yum!!! Also, Ed Iman will be hosting his “Calling all kids” fishing seminar at 4:30.  Unfortunately, this year, there is no trout pond.  COVID restrictions just wouldn’t allow it.

It’s a boat show too! It’s a show within a show! One of the things that makes these shows so much fun is the diversity of things to see and do. Several boat dealers are coming to town and adding to the long list of things to see and buy. If you’re in the market for a boat, you’ll strike your best deal here.

RV’s and trailers! If you’re shopping RV’s this is the place to go! With 6 dealers in the show this is undoubtedly the biggest RV sale to hit Central Oregon in some time. All Seasons RV & Marine, Beaver Coach, Big Country RV, Jumping Jack Trailers, Trailers Unlimited and Western Range Camps are all expected to be at this year’s show.  Shop and compare, side-by-side, it’s a wonderful opportunity to see a lot of different units in one place.

Oregon Bow Hunters. The Central Oregon Sportsmen’s Show would like to extend a warm welcome to the Oregon Bow Hunters who will be holding their indoor State Indoor Archery Shoot at the show! Dozens of archers will be at the show with their eye trained on the bullseye.

Shop the sales. There are lots of items on sale at the Central
Oregon Sportsmen’s Show…deeply discounted sale items. Boats, clothes, tackle, camping and cooking equipment, knives, rods and reels, RV’s, ATV’s, food items, jewelry, art, ammo and much, much more!
