The Washington Sportsmen’s Show® is Washington’s
largest Sportsmen’s Show. This year, the show opens
January 21 with a packed line-up of family-friendly attractions,
new expert speakers and past crowd-pleasers at the
Washington State Fair Events Center.

Western Washington’s only sportsmen’s show runs
January 21 – 25 and spotlights the one-of-a-kind indoor
“Steelhead River,” over 150 hours of free “how to” seminars,
camp cooking demonstrations, the Kid’s Free Trout Pond,
the “Head & Horns” competition and much more. A full list
of show highlights can be found towards the bottom of this page.

It’s the perfect time to begin planning outdoor adventures
with professional guides, outfitters and other resources to
assist in making fishing, hunting and wildlife-watching
trips a reality.

SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

The largest outdoor adventure show in the state offers a one-stop shopping experience, with great values on fishing and hunting gear, clothing, camping equipment, sport fishing boats and RV’s . If you’re planning a special adventure for 2015, it’s an opportunity to meet face-to-face with top professional guides and outfitters, and representatives from leading hunting and fishing lodges and resorts.

For anglers, this show boasts new luminaries and returning favorites sharing their tips for producing “tight lines” during your next fishing adventure.

With prizes on the line, the show’s “Head & Horns” competition attracts upwards of 200 heads, horns or horn/antler sheds brought to the show by showgoers. The entries are measured and scored by Boone and Crockett and Pope and Young representatives at no charge. Prizes are awarded for all three methods of harvest: rifle, archery and black powder.

The youngsters aren’t left out of the action: the “Kid’s FREE Trout Pond” provides kids 12 and under with the opportunity to catch-and-keep or release two trout. All the gear is provided at no charge—including fishing poles, bait and take-home bags.

Wilderness survival and outdoor safety expert Peter Kummerfeldt returns to the show for his 19th year with a rucksack full of new and updated presentations.

The “Fred Meyer Camp Cooking Tent” returns as celebrity camp cooks share tasty recipes for easy-to-prepare meals. Stop by and watch Herb Good, Tiffany Haugen and Dutch Oven guru “Cee Dub” Welch prepare tasty, no-fuss recipes in hourly presentations all five days of the show.
