When most kids his age were just learning to drive a car, R.J. Marquart was already a pro. At the tender age of 16, he became a professional bird dog trainer. At 18, he earned his first field championship, and he became the youngest person ever to take home the National Canadian Chukar Championship when he claimed that victory at the age of 19.

More than 20 years later, RJ is still going strong, training and field trailing pointing dogs at his Quicksilver Kennels in Moses Lake, Wash.

RJ has won more than 70 AKC, CKC and AF Championships. One of his most amazing feats is Marquartís record of winning with ten different breeds of pointing dogs. Heís won championship with Gordon Setters, English Setters, Irish Setters, Lewellin Setters, Red Setters, English Pointers, German Wirehaired Pointers, German Shorthaired Pointers, Vizsla and Brittanyís. And receive Gordon setter of the year title for 3 straight years. He has won the National Canadian Chukar Championship three times, and he has won the English Setter National Championship and the National Derby Classics and the following year one of the dogs that he had trained had won the National Amateur Championship. He also trained the dog that won National Vizsla Championship. In 2005 he had the No. 1 English Setter, Gordon setter and Irish setter, all in the same year. RJ has judged numerous AKC and AF Championship.

RJ puts on Training Clinics for the pointing breeds thru out the United States, Canada and Mexico.
