Jeff Ziller

South Willamette District Fish Biologist

Want to know where the best trout fishing opportunity is in the high Cascade lakes? We have the very best resource to answer that question in this rare and wonderful seminar from the guy that knows. In April, Jeff Ziller will have been an ODFW fisheries biologist for forty-eight years. Jeff has spent most of his career in the upper Willamette watershed managing native salmon and trout populations, warm-water fisheries, and other native fish populations.  Jeff has a long history with the high lakes of the Cascade Mountains, beginning with his first fishing trips into the Mt Jefferson Wilderness in the 1960’s.  For decades, Jeff and his teams have collected and compiled high lake fisheries data for the Cascade Range to better understand fish production and fisheries needs. Jeff will be sharing information on high lakes management, great places to go and tips on how to fish these high-altitude lakes.
