The Central Oregon Sportsmen’s Show opens March 12th and runs through the 15th at the First Interstate Bank Center and Deschutes County Fair & Expo in Redmond, Oregon with exclusive new features, personalities, exhibits and outdoor products that will be introduced at Oregon’s 2nd largest sportsmen’s show.
The Head & Horns Competition has been running since 1997 with literally tens of thousands of horns, antlers and heads measured. Morris and his team are certified measurers for the record books.
And the head, horns or antlers you have measured don’t need to be of your doing. Maybe there’s a set of antlers in the attic that’s been gathering dust for decades you inherited from a great great uncle…bring them in!
There’s a fee to have them measured, $10, and another entry fee, $30, if you’d like to enter them in the competition. It’s well worth it! With prizes like rifles, Leupold scopes, Fort Knox Safes, Gerber Gear and Danner boots, there’s plenty of great gear to win.
The Head and Horns feature has been very popular that’s why it’s endured as long as it has. Exhibitors call every year asking if it’s coming back because they harvested an animal they want scored. Of course, we hear from hunters from all over the west interested in having their animals scored.
Be sure to catch our Facebook Live reports from the Head & Horns Competition. We’ll be reporting on the day’s trophies and tracking the progress at every show.
